I am an adult educator and teacher of English as a second language. I have over 6 years of experience educating adults both in international groups and as a private tutor. According to my experience; to master a language many have to first overcome their fears, self-consciousness, their perfectionism and impatience towards their own progress for learning to cease being a burden and become a fun experience with a sense of accomplishment.

After highschool, I immediately started my career in English, at the Milestone Institute, a startup in the field of education. This job marked the time when my English language skills left the sterile language of workbooks behind, but only during my studies at the University of Cambridge did this process culminate in my current approach to language that I would love to share with my students. We are not learning a language. We are communicating. We understand others and make ourselves be understood. The first step is as easy as that.

Since the very beginning of my professional life, I have always been dealing with languages: be it private tutoring, writing articles in English or translation. I began teaching groups in language schools in 2017 once I completed a language teaching course. Once I decided that I would like to stick to teaching in the long run, it became a priority for me to design lessons in which my students can not only learn a lot, but also have fun in. I wholeheartedly believe that it is the best way to learn a language if we truly feel motivated to learn to express ourselves.

Originally from California, Lynette has travelled and lived all over the world. Her diverse background is in the business realm, which she incorporates into teaching English, along with her passion for art, travel and wine. She enjoys connecting with people and looks forward to meeting you!

KEEP IT REAL, KEEP IT CASUAL; this is my approach to teaching. Keep the student relaxed, and speak about real life events, situations. The best way for a student to advance is to speak, speak, and speak. Studying grammar and doing written exercises can be done at home.
